Gorillaz New Album

TAGS: None

Plastic Beach, Gorillaz’ third album, doesn’t arrive lightly. Ambitious, avant-garde and about as complicated in flavor like a mouthful of Jelly Bellys, the album isn’t almost as pop friendly since the very first two Gorillaz releases; there’s small to no sign from the 19-2000’s or Really feel Great Inc’s of yesteryear. You can find strange new peaks, nevertheless, that merely dismiss outright commercial attractiveness ambition. Occasionally they perform, occasionally they do not, but evolution within the Gorillaz universe has in no way used a linear path.

Jamie Hewlett offers the essential visual element, but right after liftoff it is really the Damon Albarn Task – he writes, creates, sings and plays most from the music, enlisting the supplemental powers from the single most extensive and bizarre selection of guests ever united on an album: Snoop Dogg, De La Soul, Lou Reed, the Clash’s Mick Jones and Mos Def all lead, among other people, with love-jam grandpa Bobby Womack lacing his inimitable soul-engine vocals via two tracks.

Opening towards the seems of waves crashing, seagulls squawking plus a foghorn off within the distance, offering method to Snoop’s dub-funk, world-ending introduction on “Welcome towards the Globe from the Plastic Beach”. It creates for the comical very first impression, rhyming “in focus” with “the globe is so hopeless” with completely pimpilicious pessimism.

“Rhinestone Eyes” is really a dreamy, stony stroll down a diamond shore, sippin’ the codeine whilst the drums slap sluggish & wet within the background and bright synth colors swirl between beats. It is an early album highlight, abstract poetic imagery like “your rhinestone eyes are like factories far away” sprinkled with a sigh via the tropical haze. The easy vibrations are directly in line with the Gorillaz sound we’ve become such junkies for, leading into complicated genre-mashing very first single “Stylo”:

Creativity and Love
Being neurotic one lives repeating the same mistakes, creating the same types of situations and insisting frustrating relationship. Being healthy is have option, is to choose and most importantly, know how to create new options. Use creativity in love is to turn into fire ashes almost erased. Research shows that couples who live together for more than 30 years and consider themselves happy use creativity to solve a problem. For example: “if the husband does not have time, make an appointment with fictitious name in his daily planner and a surprise appearance,” “nice dinner with candlelight and the best wine,” … The predisposing conditions are always to the fight is when in this position by surprise, half the bitterness disappears. People carry a lot of tension during the workday, and often take it home and add to domestic problems. We have to be creative to unload this tension. Be creative its ability to not suffer unnecessarily is to better resolve conflict and situations. It is very enriching to life, using the two basic functions of the creative imagination: the quest and enhancement. The search is as a beacon with which we find again in ourselves to each other. The improvement and just to make love grow in the relationship. Why not use our creative potential; we fall into the trap of routine, which both destroys a relationship. Complaints about the routine of the couple are the most common and interesting and that people do not realize that each individual is responsible for routine in which he lives. The routine follows a predetermined path of laziness, convenience or fear of reckless to the point of balance. All that builds with love is a new order, and the greatest task and transformation. The routine is finally repeating the same answers, the same behaviors. A minimum of routine, however, it is necessary for us to keep organize day by day. The man, have the ability to create and transform, but many people live by repeating the same mistakes, delaying or postponing major changes, is just acting like beasts. When man creates, looks like God, unlike the irrational animals.

GOD SPOKE TO ME TODAY

GOD SPOKE TO ME
God spoke to me today little about the raw material of the miracle faith is the condition to be receiving the miracle. Raw material miracle it is when we find ourselves in the situation that we can go neither forward nor backward, it is like in sand trap to be still to be sinking if we try to move we sink even faster, so what to do ? I say to all you have to have faith, put into practice the faith and receive the miracle. When we put our faith into action, it is when we need a miracle, faith in Jesus is faith of the impossible, it is when is no more hope in the visible, when our body our flesh arrives at the edge of reality, something different happens within the believer the one serving God with the truth, a seed of greatness, was emptied of its glory and became man like me and the creator became a creature, creature became sovereign, God now as a man, He did great deed the deaf hear, the blind see, the dumb to speak and even raised the dead from the grave, this man lived here, sinless and won so I could be like him. The man who made this tremendous work and wonderful humbled himself even more, not with glory shining, now he humiliated, becoming a slave and washed the feet of those who walked with him and being a slave he humbled himself up to the death on the cross.
This Jesus whom we have received, he died on the cross. But the Bible says that the bonds of death could not conquer it and the third day He was resurrected from the dead, known that, Jesus lives in us and who changes everything and when we are staked in a sand trap, what we do, look up for Jesus who won and now lives in us so that we might have life, look at the price He pay so we can live a life of victory and miracle, yes God did speak to me today, HE TOLD ME MIRACLES DO HAPPENS.

Carroll Iowa Ice Storm

Tags: ,

I have lived in Iowa all of my life and this has got to be one of the craziest winters I’ve experienced. So far this winter we have had 2 snow storms that each dumped close to a foot of snow on us. We have also had 2 ice storms, the worst one was last week.
It started on Wednesday morning and rained most of the morning. The temperature stayed steady around 31 to 32 degrees. By the time the rain ended the trees and power lines were covered with very thick ice. For 3 days the power lines and pole snapped and trees broke. You could stand outside and listen to trees breaking in the distance. Yards and streets are littered with broken trees. Power lines are down everywhere, lying across streets, roads, yards. It was not safe to be outside around trees, you didn’t know when a branch might fall.
I have gathered some pictures with the help of some other people in the area.

Vincent van Gogh – Biography

Vincent van Gogh – Biography

“Vincent van Gogh was born near Brabant, the son of a minister. In 1869, he got a position at the art dealers, Goupil and Co. in The Hague, through his uncle, and worked with them until he was dismissed from de London office in 1873. He worked as a schoolmaster in England (1876), before training for the ministry at Amsterdam University (1877). After he failed to get a post in the church, he went to live as an independent missionary among the Borinage miners.

He was largely self-taught as an artist, although he received help from his cousin, Mauve. His first work were heavily painted, mud colored and clumsy attempts to represent the life of the poor(e.g., Potato-Eaters, 1885 Amsterdam), influenced by one of his artistic heroes, Millet. He moved to Paris in 1886, living with his devoted brother, Theo, who as a dealer introduced him to artists like Gauguin, Pissarro, Seurat and Toulouse-Lautrec. In Paris, he discovered color as well as the divisionist ideas which helped to create the distinctive dashed brushstroke of his late work (e.g., Pere Tanguy, 1887, Paris). He moved to Arles, in the south os France, in 1888, hoping to establish an artists’ colony there, and was immediately struck by the hot reds and yellows of the Mediterranean, which he increasingly used symbolically to represent his own moods (e.g., Sunflowers, 1888, London, National Gallery). He was joined briefly by Gauguin in October 1888, and managed is some works to combine his own ideas with the latter’s Synthetism (e.g., The Sower, 1888, Amsterdam), but the visit was not a success. A final argument led to the infamous episode in which Van Gogh mutilated his ear.

In 1889, he became a voluntary patient at the St. Remy asylum, where he continued to paint, often making copies of artists he admired. His palette softened to mauves and pinks, but his brushwork was increasingly agitated, the dashes constructed into swirling, twister shapes, often seen as symbolic of his mental state ( e.g., Ravine, 1889, Otterlo). He moved to Auvers, to be closer to Theo in 1890 – his last 70 days spent in a hectic program of painting. His died, having sold only one work, following a botched suicide attempt. His life is detailed in a series of letters to his brother (published 1959)”.

THE GLOBALIZATION OF TOURISM

The Globalization of Tourism

“The World Tourism Organization’s forecasts are on target, international tourist arrivals will climb from the present 625 million a year to 1.6 billion in 2020. By this date, travelers will spend over US$ 2 trillion, (against US$ 44.5 billion today), making tourism the world’s leading industry.
Electronic technology is facilitating this growth by offering access to fare and hotel information and online reservation service. Despite a modest annual growth rate (3.1%), Europe will remain, by far, the most popular destination (it can expect 717 million international arrivals in 2020, double the 1998 figure), though its market share will decline from 59 to 45%. Growth on the continent will be led by Central and Eastern European countries, where arrivals are expected to increase by
4.8% per year. At the same time, almost half the world’s tourist will be coming from Europe. Given this dominance, it is not surprising to find that six European countries count among the top ten tourism earners and spenders. The United States holds first place in both categories.
With a 7% per annum growth in international arrivals, the East Asia/Pacific region will overtake the Americas as the second most popular destination, holding a 27% market share in 2020 against 18% by the Americas. But the industry will also be doing its utmost to court the Asian traveler, since East Asia/Pacific is forecast to become the world’s second most important generator of tourist, with a 7% annual growth rate, pushing the Americas into third position. China is expected to become the fourth lagest source of tourists on the world market, while it is not even among the first twenty today. Both arrivals to and departures from Africa (and especially Southern Africa), the Middle East and South Asia are expected to grow by above 5% per year.
While France has held its place as the top destination throughout the 1990s, it will be dethroned in the next decades, with China ( excluding Hong Kong) expected to top the list by 2020 even though it is not even featured on it today. Also making an entry into the top ten are the Russian Federation, Hong Kong, and the Czech Republic.
Despite this growth forecast, tourism is and will remain the privilege of a few: WTO forecast that only 7% of the world population will travel abroad by 2020”.
