If you are a Salesman, Business Owner, or just a Blogger, Wordpress themes are extremely important. The theme you choose for your Store, Business or Blog should be attractive, multi-functional and most important optimized for search engine discovery. That is if you want your webpage to be discovered. Finding the best theme or template for your page does not have to be costly. There are lots of websites out there that offer FREE wordpress templates.
For example, websites like WP REX “Top Wordpress Themes For Free”, give you the chance to search through hundreds of themes based on color schemes, layout or even by keywords. I think this is extremely helpful! Maybe you have a blog about food, recent news updates or maybe you provide gaming opportunities for people. Living in a small town in Oklahoma I know what it’s like to feel lonely and deserted sometimes. Yes, we have a Wal-Mart, Kmart, Chili’s and Garfields, and an itsy bitsy thing they call a mall, but honestly it’s nothing compared to the big cities who have everything. We don’t have a Target, a Big Mall, or very many resteraunts to choose from. We have to drive 30-45 minutes away to find the best stores and the top brands. Name brands aren’t always a necessity, but on some things you really want the top brands.
One way I have found my sanity it through the internet. I get on the computer daily to check my e-mail, talk with friends on facebook, upload and edit photos, sell things on Ebay, etc. But one thing I love most about the internet is shopping. Since our town doesn’t have a lot to offer, I know I can always find it online and have it shipped straight to my door!
Now my town is not the smallest in these parts, by any means, but there are some really rural areas around here. I know some of these rural communities have to have to depend on a satellite internet service. There is hope for all thoes people who feel abandoned in the country with nothing but pastures and the wide open. I know I would be lost without my internet connection. Seriously, our computer was in the shop a week or so back and I thought I was going to go insane. Now days almost everyone relies on their computer and their internet service.
Okay this is a WARNING to all you bloggers out there so Pay Close Attention! Before I get started on the Truth please take note of Blog Advertising Store / Paying Post and their information below. This is their information through PayPal. If they owe you money, I would start requesting/demanding it daily until they pay up!
Business Name: WebWorld SRL (The recipient of this payment is Non-U.S. – Verified) Email: support@blogadvertisingstore.com & payments@blogadvertisingstore.com Payment Sent to: payments@blogadvertisingstore.com Blog: www.blogadvertisingstore.com/blog. I would bother the heck out of Mr. Robert Jensen; the no-good theif who writes all their posts.
Okay here is the TRUTH- It started two months ago when I first found their website. Everything looked great. They paid through PayPal (very trustworthy), they were highly ranked on google and they were offering blogging opportunities left and right. Within a few days, I had already reached the threshold of $100 and I was to be paid on the first of the month.
Well the first of the month came and went and no money. I was starting to worry. So I daily started writing emails, contacting them through their website and demanding my money. I went way out of my way to contact someone/anyone. But no reply! I had no other choice than to contact The Companies that I posted for directly since I couldn’t reach anyone! And after that effort, only one company replied. Although they were very kind and paid me directly and even did a quick read on a claims suit against them. They were very upset and they are going to spread the Truth like wildfire too. Thanks Brian!
Below are some links to what other bloggers are saying about their site. In conclusion, they don’t have a good Rep and I am out to STOP them from SCAMMING everyone else. This has become my new mission. My goal is to outrank them through google and stop everyone from even clicking on their God-Forsaken Website!!! They are Not Cool! What’s really sad is that they even paid people to write a post about the website/store for more links so hundreds, if not thousands of people helped get them ranked, but of course they don’t pay you for it. If you’re with me and want to help support this mission, please get everyone you know to link back to this page!
According to Wikipedia, “A social network service focuses on the building and reflecting of social networks or social relations among people, e.g., who share interests and/or activities. A social network service essentially consists of a representation of each user (often a profile), his/her social links, and a variety of additional services. Most social network services are web based and provides means for users to interact over the internet, such as e-mail and instant messaging. Although online community services are sometimes considered as a social network service in a broader sense, social network service usually means an individual-centered service whereas online community services are group-centered.”
Becoming Socially Networked has completely changed not only America, but the world; And I think for the better. Here are some amazing reasons why I think Social Networking is important.
1.) Connect with a Community of Friends and Family
2.) Find old Friends and Family & catch up by Chating
3.) Share (photos, music, videos, articles) with a Community of Friends and Family
4.) Gain Knowledge on Certian Products, Brands or Businesses
5.) Create an Identity for Yourself
6.) Generate Traffic to your website and others through links
7.) Increase Revenue for those who have something to sell.
8.) Make Business Contacts and gain trusted relationship
9.) Give & Get Advice on certain topics
10.) Feel like you Belong and are Accepted
If you don’t fully agree with any of the reasons above on Social Networking, you can at least say you agree with #11.) You’ve been Entertained!
FIRST OFF, STAY AWAY FROM BLOG AVERTISING STORE- (AKA: PAYING POST)! IT’S A SCAM!
Did you know that you can make a pretty decent living just from blogging a few hours a week?
I was totally new to the scene of blogging about two months ago when I decided I would try to keep in touch with friends, share a few recipes, health/fitness tips and photos of my son who is growing rapidly before my eyes. After some research, I soon realized, “Hey, I could actually make a few bucks doing this.” And for a stay-at-home mom, that sounded amazing and liberating to me. I could definitely use some extra cash throughout the month.
Well let me start off by saying, there are several companies out there that will pay you to write reviews, give your opinion and/or share your thoughts on certain products or website articles. It’s that easy! Now some of these sites like Pay Per Post, Blogsvertise and Blogging Ads make you sit around and wait for companies to come to you. You patiently check your e-mail or log in daily to see if you’ve recieved just ONE lead or opportunity. It’s very discouraging. But I came across Blog Advertising Store (aka Paying Post). Remember, I have done my research and looked into several companies who pay for blogging and I thought this one was the best by far. I signed up, got approved, started blogging and within a couple hours made $34 and quickly over the next couple days I was up to $101. Not too shabby for one weeks work when I also have a 9 month old knocking pictures off the bookshelf and throwing cheerios all over the floor. BUT THEY DON’T PAY YOU! They promise once you reach the $100 threshold you will be paid on the first of the month. One month later, e-mail and discouraged letters daily, and even making contacts with the actually companies I wrote posts for and still no money. One company paid me on their own and even looked into filing a suit against them. Well in the end I was Scamed. They took the money that advertisers owed to me and kept it for themselves. Now they have canceled my account and I will never get my money. But in return, I vowed to kill their name and thier business. I will see an end to this one way or another. This got me even more excited! I actually made money! I mean I actually see dollars in my Paypal account! I’m not saying this is easy money, I do have to put some thought into my writings and actually give an opinion. If you have good, attractive content and follow all the guidelines, most likely they will approve your post and pay your for it. If a stay-at-home mom from podunk Oklahoma can do it, so can you!
One last thing I reccomend is to start marketing your blog through web directories. This will give you higher rankings for search engines and in return bring your more opportunities for paid offers from advertisers. A couple for starters are Yahoo and DMOZ. I hope this information is helpful. Enjoy your journey through the World of Blogging.
Web Directories have been used for several years now by companies who want to increase their traffic and in return make a better profit. How is this done?, you might ask.
Well lets use Jasmine Directory as an example. When you submit your link to Jasmine Directory they are giving you a one-way link. And search engines find inbound one-way links very important. These Directories also let you use an Anchor text (site title) of your choice, which can contain your keywords making your chances of ranking on search engines even greater.
Another example is Max Directory. This Directory along with Jasmine provide free submissions of your links and articles. And yes, free means you don’t have to pay to add your site or business URL to their directory! What could be better than that? There are some professional directories, however, that do charge for adding your links.
But the best thing about Web Directories are that these submissions you’ve provided send you targetted traffic. The Web Directory specialize in linking to your web site and categorizing your link. So if someone is interested in lets say, Losing Weight, they might find your article or link under the “Health & Fitness” Category in the Web Directory. And chances are, even if you submit your link under the wrong category, the Web Directory will place it under the right one so people will continue to find your link!
There are all sorts of web directories on the World Wide Web. Some are better for your business than others. You may even find some that are geared toward your type of company. There are blog directories, ILQ directories, free directories, paid directories, deep link directories and reciprical directories. I would suggest submitting your links to the two Web Directories I mentioned above followed by a couple I’ve listed below just for startes. Then do your research. Figure out what your objective is and start looking for directories that will accommodate your resources.
Don’t underestimate the power of a domain name when you are learning to develop an identity on the web. Most of the time people make a huge impression by naming their domain after what their website is actually about. If you have a name that is easy to remember, easy to pronounce and named after exactly what they are looking for, chances are you will have great success and people will return time after time.
So how do you go about choosing a website domain? How do you pick one that will bring in a lot of visitors? Well like I said before, the name is everything! This isn’t something you can just think up overnight, this takes time and a lot of thought about what is most ideal for your situation. What is your main objective? Are you trying to sell something? Are you trying to shine the light on a certain topic? Are you just blogging/journaling about anything and everything? Maybe you’re a photograper or a painter.
Well, no matter what it is you are trying to offer, your main objective should be to provide an suitable representation of your website. Before you choose the name, you need to know exactly what your purpose is. So first, have a solid plan for your website and that will help you pick the best name for your domain.
Remember though, no matter what your intention is, the name you decide on should be engaging and memorable. Memory is a significant aspect of a domain’s ability in target visitors and bring in traffic. If you have a name that is easy to remember, most likely, you will get a constant flow of customers, especially if you are selling something. And constant flow means constant revenue and sales! Also remember to an use and memorable spelling of the name. You don’t want search engines pulling up completely different sites, instead of yours, just becuase you were trying to be witty.
And lastly, you need to choose a suitable domain registrar like Active-Registrar to ensure that your registration facts and personal information are carefully regarded. Once you’ve establised a catchy domain name and a dependable registrar, your website registration will be simple. Now you will be well on your way to great success!
