Sally Field is back on TV and I’m so happy to see her. She has been one of my favorite actresses for years and I have yet to miss an episode of her television show Brothers & Sisters.

She plays the character of Nora Walker and is the mother of five children. I never thought I wanted a big family until I started watching that show. My husband’s family is large and I have to say that the creators of the show have gotten a lot right about the family dynamic.

Nora’s husband of many years died in the first episode of the show and we discover that he had a long time affair ! with another woman. The family struggles greatly to deal with this situation and I have been reminded that Sally Field is a wonderful actress.

Sally Field has been the star of several movies that are among my favorite such as Steel Magnolias. I have watched this movie more times than I can count and it still makes me cry. I know how it’s going to end, and yet the tears come every time.

I’m fortunate enough to have the service of a cable provider and I am able to watch Sally Field on my satellite TV that I got after seeing these directstartv.com. I’m grateful for my DVR that allows me to record my favorite movies and television shows.

Last night I thought I would give my husband a nice little treat. I went to the shops to buy all the ingredients I needed for a special cake which I had seen being made on a television show. I warmed up the oven as instructed and began to mix in the ingredients in exactly the same method that was used on the tv show. I added the milk and the eggs, a pinch of salt with a bit of cinnamon and a few other bits and hey presto I had the cake mix. I put it in the oven and went to get bath. But I fell asleep and when I woke up I could smell a slight burning smell. The cake was like a lump of charcoal. So I ran to the shop and bough a beautiful sponge cake and passed it off as mine, my husband never knew the difference.

I love watching cooking programmes on Directtv, my favourite is Bake it with Chef Eddy. His methods of cooking are spectacular and his attitude is pleasant with a hint of mischievousness, which does attract me to him. I suppose he would be my next husband if this one ever let me down.

The internet has made things so much easier for us these days.
